THE WILTSHIRE Golf Partnership has been set up to introduce more people to the sport and help grow the game within the county.
Following consultation with Wiltshire Golf Clubs, the Partnership submitted a Development Plan to England Golf and has been awarded £20,000 of funding over three
years (2008 -2010).

The award recognises that these clubs are truly beginner and junior friendly.

NORTH WILTS IS LATEST 'HIGH ACHIEVER'
NORTH WILTS and High Post have become the latest Golf clubs in Wiltshire to achieve Golfmark/Clubmark status.This is a national standard for quality sports clubs that identifies and acknowledges facilities in England that are junior and beginner friendly.
Cumberwell Park, Hamptworth and West Wilts have all been awarded Golfmark over he past few months with Cumberwell, Hamptworth and North Wilts named ‘High Achievers’. NORTH WILTS GOLFMARK BLOG

CLUB GRANTS OF UP TO £400 AVAILABLE
Wiltshire golf clubs can apply for up to £400 each to attract more golfers into their clubs and help with their junior club coaching programmes. Clubs who have been awarded Golfmark are entitled to an additional £100 each.
The £150 Junior Club Coaching Grant is aimed at grass roots club members and must be matched by the club.
The Free Golf Coaching Grant of £200 is for attracting beginners and non-members by offering taster sessions. Clubs competing both initiatives get the extra £50.

JUNE POFFLEY IS CLUB VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
North Wilts’ Junior Organiser, has received a national award in England Golf’s inaugural Volunteer of the Year awards. One of only five recipients, June received her award for club development from Bill Bryce,chairman of the England Golf Partnership, in recognition of many years hard work. FULL STORY
