Bowood Golf & Country Club have become the 13th golf club in Wiltshire to gain Golf Mark. Congratulations to Simon Shanks for all his hard work.

Golf Roots are hosting a workshop for clubs to get more understanding in successfully creating links with schools and a successful pathway from school coaching into club golf. The aganda for the workshop is attached

Manor House hosted a Christmas open day and invited local schools and residents to come along to their open evening. The evening gave people the chance to view the clubs facilities and membership offers. The partnership attended the event with our indoor inflatable giving everyone a chance to try golf out in the warm! Over 40 people of all ages attended the open evening. With great success Manor House are running another open day on the 29th January.

The merger of the English Golf Union (EGU) and the English Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) was approved today (16 November 2011) at simultaneous general meetings of both organisations The merger will come into effect on 1 January 2012 and will create England Golf, one national governing body to represent all amateur golfers in England.
