NORTH WILTS IS LATEST 'HIGH ACHIEVER' MARCH 2008
NORTH WILTS and High Post have become the latest Golf clubs in Wiltshire to achieve Golfmark/Clubmark status.This is a national standard for quality sports clubs that identifies and acknowledges facilities in England that are junior and beginner friendly.

NEW CHILDREN IN GOLF RESOURCE PACK 2008 MARCH 2008
NEW GUIDELINES for Safeguarding Children in Golf have been published. These can be downloaded from www.childreningolf.org or a hard copy of the Resource Pack can be bought from the English Golf Union's publications store priced £5 including postage and packaging. Go to www.englishgolfunion.org

CLUB GRANTS OF UP TO £400 AVAILABLE MARCH 2008
Wiltshire golf clubs can apply for up to £400 each to attract more golfers into their clubs and help with their junior club coaching programmes. Clubs who have been awarded Golfmark are entitled to an additional £100 each.
The £150 Junior Club Coaching Grant is aimed at grass roots club members and must be matched by the club.
The Free Golf Coaching Grant of £200 is for attracting beginners and non-members by offering taster sessions. Clubs competing both initiatives get the extra £50. GO TO DOWNLOAD PAGE

JUNE POFFLEY IS CLUB VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR MARCH 2008
North Wilts’ Junior Organiser, has received a national award in England Golf’s inaugural Volunteer of the Year awards. One of only five recipients, June received her award for club development from Bill Bryce,chairman of the England Golf Partnership, in recognition of many years hard work. FULL STORY

HAMPTWORTH & WEST WILTS BECOME WILTSHIRE'S FIRST CLUBMARK HIGH ACHIEVERS JANUARY 2008
Hamptworth and West Wilts Golf Clubs have become Wiltshire's first 'high achievers'. Both clubs have been awarded the new Golfmark Award which incorporates Clubmark with 'high achiever' status. This means that these golf clubs have met additional conditions over and above those minimum standards required for GolfMark.

CUMBERWELL FIRST TO ACHIEVE CLUBMARK
AUGUST 2007
